June 30th, 2008Rock Werchter Mobile
Thursday one of the world’s most popular music festivals is about to get started, here in Belgium. Rock Werchter is also this year presenting an amazing line-up. Radiohead, R.E.M, The Chemical Brothers, Jay-Z, Moby, Neil Young, Sigur Ros, The Hives, Editors, Kate Nash, Beck, Underworld, dEUS, Kaiser Chiefs….
An amazing list of fantastic artists all worth paying a visit. We are sure every attendee has already made up their own personal schedule. But we all know after a few beers we start to forget who is performing next, when they are going to start exactly, on which stage they are on etc.. After a while the nagging starts and you are told to shut up and look at your infobrochure or flyer. If you are one of those who always seem to loose those damn papers or if you are tired of thinking where the hell you left it again, we might have the perfect solution for you:
This year Boulevart is offering you a free mobile version of the entire Rock Werchter Line Up. Just install it onto your phone and use it where ever you are, whenever you want. It also includes a map of the entire Werchter Area so if you get lost you can easily orientate yourself. In our iphone version (that’s right, Iphone! ) we even support google maps so you can use satellite pictures to get a detailed view of your location! How about that!
You can download the application at our Rock Werchter page, telling you if your phone is capable of installing our application and explaining exactly how you need to get in onto your device.
Make sure to check our little video showing you exactly how it works and looks like!

I have tried to get this to work on my iPhone, but Safari says it can’t download the file. I use a PC with my iPhone.

Hi, has this project been dropped, or moved? I can follow all the steps on my 3G 2.2 iPhone, but when I go to the sources folder, in your folder there are 4 apps, none of which will load, as they are the demo documents in flash. There doesn’t seem to be an installer app anymore. Am I missing something?

Same problem. Any luck getting it to work?

This is excellent. iPhone apps can be really useful, as proven in this excellent blog post.
